New Challenges in 2010 for Leadership Photo

We know the world is changing fast. Ever-increasing changes in our physical, economic and technological environments reverberate in our personal, family, professional and community lives.
This new world of 2010 requires leadership that engages every dimension of us as human beings – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. It demands “whole-being engagement” – extraordinary leadership for extraordinary times.
However, such leadership cannot be learned. It has to be experienced. The problem is that how these new dimensions of leadership could be experienced within the confines of our existing environments – which are, by definition, a product of the old paradigms.
Apparently, it is developed by unique, individual experiences in extraordinary circumstances. That is why we have created the Extraordinary Leadership Journey.
And, in the end, stripped of your status, your power, the hierarchical deference of those in your organization, your cultural reference points, your emotional shields and physical home comforts, what kind of a leader will you become?

Health Insurance

Health Insurance PhotoAlmost all of my jobs I have been experiencing until this age always provide me with health insurance. It is definitely government’s instruction and any kind of company or at least business orientation must avail health insurance upon their staffs and assets.

But what wonders me is this factory for which here I just began to work. The owner said that health insurance is not necessary as long as the wage and salary from him is more than enough. But I completely disagree with him; this is a factory of chemical procession and all process at work is really hard and often meets accidentally hazardous chemical contacts which could affect our body immunity and sometimes make us vomit or even unconscious. Hence, high salary does not always support the cost of medication, hospitalizing or just treatment. I have no idea why he has a very limited opinion on health insurance; but I am sure he needs to be well informed about it. And giving good and affordable health insurance will probably be able to open his heart. I am sure that it is much better to put all staffs under health insurance than just to give them extra money and ask them to solve their own health problem.

I understand that the boss does not want to get involved in personal problems of his staffs; however, who wants to get injured by the time of working anyway? We all will be working more cautious and happier when we are certain that our health is under good insurance.
