Women as Leaders

August 31st, 2009

Women as Leaders PhotoWomen as leaders are not something new. There are many examples showing their abilities to lead; woman president, women party leaders, even women at family. It is no wonder that they act particularly good as leaders in their job; even more, women’s habit of cleanliness and well-managing could result in the job even better than men.

However, these special women are supposed to remember their function and destiny as housewives and house makers. It is not mistaken if they have chance to lead a big number of people or communities; but, once again, they also have other duties as mothers.
A so-called woman as a leader has very far similarities to the word and the world of a man when he gets to be a leader. World of leadership is deliberately hard and depressive; whereas women are demanded to be soft, tender, comprehensive and full of care.
Well, it is not a kind of cynical talk or something; it is more to get the idea of how a leader is supposed to be strong physically and mentally, charismatic, opinionated, strict in making decision and hardworking, and these qualities are apparently unable to be found from women.
In homemaking abilities; women are indeed much better than men; no need samples yet just see the truth. Again, this talk is not to corner women’ existence; it is more to know the natural essence of the reality. And the reality is that, women, you are much better to take care for the family and let men lead them.

A Theory of Leadership; inner conflicts

A Theory of Leadership; inner conflicts PhotoIn simple connotation, leadership is a behavior of an entity or entities acting as a leader on the way how he leads the other entities in an organization or a group. As leaders, we are inevitably influenced by both clear and transparent signals that come out from actions or ideas of the people that entrust us. Particularly if we are sensitive to the people around us, and generally conform to what these people have in their mind, playing leadership role is not that difficult.

The point is that how we, as the leader, behave upon the signals of those on whom we lead. Just keep in mind that these people have various hopes of how the leaders are supposed to act, and it is certainly the main consideration for us. It surely has big affects when once we perform in one certain action we believe that this is what our people hope; however, there will always be some antipathies from certain people, though the people are ours. The case of antipathies is not something simple; these people could influence others with their disagreement upon our action. Conflict could then be triggered from this point of view and it can also occur when the people have different expectations of the leaders.
Cases above seem to always be common problems in leadership management; more attitudes are supposed to be done before things are going more radical. Many leaders in this world don’t act promptly; waiting for further sequence and considering all related aspects tend the best things as the first step. And when they find the best way out and apply it at once (as the main people in their countries, they have authorities to do things at all cost, no matter what), playing an action of leadership is, again, is not something hard to do. Is it?
